The Ukrainian Scientific Center of Ecology of the Sea (UkrSCES) was founded in January 1992 based on the Odesa Branch State Oceanographic Institute. The European Marine Board (EMB) facilitates enhanced cooperation between European marine science organizations towards the development of a common vision on the strategic research priorities for marine science in Europe.
