Exploring Marine Life Through Upcycled Art<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Between February and May 2024, GeoEcoMar, a partner of BRIDGE-BS, conducted a series of beach activities as part of the \u201cExploring Marine Life through Upcycled Art\u201d campaign. This initiative, aimed at various educational levels, comprised several key steps.<\/p>

First, students visited the beach to engage in an interactive marine life research activity, where they observed and learned about different marine organisms. Informative brochures provided by GeoEcoMar, along with guidance from teachers and experts at the GeoEcoMar Institute, helped students recognize and identify various species.<\/p>

Following the research activity, students participated in a beach cleanup, collecting waste and litter from the shoreline. This hands-on experience heightened their environmental awareness and educated them on waste sorting (plastic waste, metal waste, non-recyclables, etc.).<\/p>

Back in the classroom, under the supervision of their teachers, students created artworks representing marine life using clean, recycled materials, encouraging them to use their artistic imagination. Once completed, these artworks were displayed in the lobby of the GeoEcoMar Institute in Constan\u021ba, showcasing the students’ creativity and efforts in promoting marine conservation through upcycled art.<\/p>

The DOORS Black Sea project significantly supported and enhanced this campaign, providing additional expertise and resources to ensure its success and broader impact on marine conservation efforts.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
