As part of the H2020\u00a0BRIDGE Black Sea<\/strong>\u00a0project, we invite you to participate in our survey on the\u00a0Black Sea Blue Economy Observatory<\/strong>\u00a0(BEO). This survey aims to gather feedback from the\u00a0Black Sea community\u00a0<\/strong>on the content and structure of the BEO, an\u00a0online platform<\/strong>\u00a0currently under development.

Through this\u00a0survey<\/strong>, we target\u00a0potential users of the platform<\/strong>\u2014individuals and institutions involved in or interested in the\u00a0Blue Economy<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0socio-economic aspects<\/strong>\u00a0of the maritime sectors in the region\u2014in order to:<\/div>

\u2022\u00a0Raise awareness about the ongoing development of the Black Sea Blue Economy Observatory.<\/div>
\u2022\u00a0Assess community interest in the platform.<\/div>
\u2022\u00a0Ensure that the platform\u2019s content is both useful and relevant to its users.<\/div>
\u2022\u00a0Collect suggestions for further improvement.<\/div>
\u2022\u00a0Identify potential data sources.
\u00a0<\/div>
Accurate data on\u00a0marine and coastal activities<\/strong>\u00a0is crucial for shaping effective maritime policies and providing industries with a clear market perspective. Significant progress has been made in gathering and sharing data on marine-based activities in recent years. A key example is the\u00a0European Union’s Blue Economy Observatory<\/strong>, launched in 2022, which supports the monitoring and analyzing economic activities related to oceans, seas, and coastlines.

Establishing a\u00a0Blue Economy Observatory for the Black Sea<\/strong>\u00a0region would address the unique economic and environmental challenges specific to this area, including those faced by countries outside the European Union’s scope. This initiative would foster\u00a0regional cooperation<\/strong>,\u00a0enhance market transparency<\/strong>, and promote the\u00a0sustainable use of Black Sea marine resources<\/strong>.

The survey will be accessible for a month, until\u00a015.12.2024<\/strong>.
