The Horizon 2020-funded BRIDGE-BS<\/b> project is pleased to announce a series of webinars<\/b> showcasing major findings and key results <\/b>from our four-year journey in advancing sustainable Blue Economy in the Black Sea towards 2050<\/b>.<\/p>

Over the past four years, BRIDGE-BS has made significant strides in understanding the impact of multistressors on the Black Sea, advancing data integration, modeling, and risk-based assessments to support sustainable ecosystem management. Through innovations in biodiversity monitoring, climate scenario modeling, and resilience analysis, the project has laid the foundation for a science-driven approach to ensuring the long-term sustainability of Black Sea ecosystem services. As we look toward the future, the Black Sea Towards 2050 webinar series<\/b> builds upon these achievements, fostering discussions on the next steps for sustainable blue economy development, policy integration, and technological innovation.\u00a0These webinars will bring together Black Sea and International scientists, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the broader public to discuss how BRIDGE-BS research contributes to a better understanding of the Black Sea\u2019s challenges and opportunities.

WEBINAR 2: TECHNOLOGIES FOR SMART MONITORING OF MULTI-STRESSORS: READINESS AND UPSCALING – 3 July 2025 11:00-13:00 CEST<\/b><\/span><\/p>

2nd\u00a0Webinar will focus on smart monitoring technologies developed within BRIDGE-BS and how to upscale them. Throughout the project, BRIDGE-BS has enhanced smart monitoring and new cost-effective tools for understanding ecosystem functioning and rapid biodiversity assessments of high innovation potential, such as advanced molecular and acoustical techniques for rapid biodiversity and biomass monitoring, integrated electrochemical, microfluidic sensors and AI-based prototype technologies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

WEBINAR 3: BRIDGE BLACK SEA DEMONSTRATOR – September<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

3rd Webinar will launch the Black Sea Digital Twin Ocean demonstrator developed within BRIDGE-BS. Black Sea DTO is a decision support tool that utilizes data pools, integrated simulations, resilience assessments and adaptive management tools to define the ecosystem’s state and associated risks. Decision support tools include employing machine learning and cumulative assessments. These tools test various socio-economic and blue economy scenarios, with sector analyses and stakeholder input from living labs across the basin.<\/p>
