New 15 promising young early career ocean professionals from the Black Sea region have now embarked on the important task of becoming the voice of the Black Sea. The inception of the Black Sea Young Ambassadors Programme in 2020, as part of the Black Sea CONNECT CSA, aimed to unite the region’s youth in shaping the future of the Black Sea.
The new cohort already made a swift start by sharing their stories as the young voices of the Black Sea at the Launch event of the SRIA Implementation Plan, promising to draw inspiration from the region’s rich history under the umbrella of this comprehensive plan.
Hosted and chaired by MEP Marian-Jean MARINESCU in the framework of the SEArica Intergroup, the Black Sea Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) Implementation Plan was launched in the European Parliament on the 4th of May, 2023.
In the event, Black Sea Young Ambassadors also came forward as voices of the Black Sea to share its story and made their pledge to draw inspiration from the rich history of this sea basin, where ancient cultures thrived under the umbrella of this comprehensive plan.
Stay tuned as the Black Sea Youth will put their newly acquired knowledge into action, creating a brighter future for our beloved Black Sea!
