Pilot sites serve as unique venues for the focused implementation of BRIDGE-BS in a cross-cutting manner. Specific forecasts of ecosystem services under the influence of multi-stressors and co-designed Blue Economy scenarios are explored in seven pilot sites. Stakeholder and community interactions occur among the coastal communities in these sites. Additionally, Blue Economy incubator activities concentrate on these locations.
Key Provisioning (PS), Regulatory and Maintenance (RMS), and Cultural Services (CS) are studied at different sites, ensuring that, when aggregated, all key services across the Black Sea are addressed. Alongside ecosystem services, specific Blue Economy sectors are analyzed throughout the Black Sea Basin. Fishing and transport serve as the main sectors for basin-wide scenarios, while each pilot site examines its unique Blue Economy focus areas.
