Individual Consultant to fill the role of ‘Co-Design Programme SupportOfficer’ for Global Ocean Observing System
The Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of UNESCO as lead sponsor of the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) Programme collaborates closely with the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) as co-sponsor, together with United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the International Science Council (ISC). GOOS is the major ocean observing programmatic element of the IOC Medium-term Strategy 2022-2029 and the WMO-IOC Collaborative Strategy.
The position is for a ‘Co-Design Programme Support Officer’ and will focus on contributing to the development of the co-design approach in areas relevant across WMO and IOC, and to link to the WMO Rolling Review of Requirements (RRR) process, as well as areas contributing to supporting the
Ocean Observing Co-Design programme in general and GOOS’s activities in the Ocean Decade.
