The JMP has been developed under Erasmus + MINE-EMI project with the aim of responding to the executive personnel demands of maritime companies. For this purpose, it is open to post graduate candidates who do not have a background in maritime education. The program includes a one-semester preparatory period for these candidates. The JMP has been prepared as three modules. These modules are: • PML: Port Management and Logistics, • PSO: Port and Ship Operations • IMP: Integrated Maritime Management

In this 20th edition of AZTI´s Summer School, the topic proposed is “Bridging the gap between marine science and policy: Communicating for an informed society and decision-making». This year, the school is organized in the framework of several Horizon Europe projects: GES4SEAS, OBAMA-NEXT, BiOcean5D, ACTNOW, Marine SABRES and MARBEFES. The main objective of the course is to present, both theoretically and practically, different tools and methods for a better transmission of the ideas, connecting science and policy in an effective manner. To achieve this objective, we have organized the school in three days, dedicating each of them to a target audience, combining the experiences from scientists, journalists, practitioners and managers in making science available for policy-makers. The course is open for early career scientists, senior scientists wanting to better communicate, communicators, managers and policy-makers, to jointly debate this current hot topic.

This position will focus on the structural health monitoring of marine structures, including vessel hulls and floating offshore wind turbines (FOWTs) using the inverse Finite Element Method (iFEM).

DOORS Early-Stage Researcher Exchange is an international programme of collaborative research mobility activities, to foster and deepen connections within and between Black Sea countries, and international partners across Europe. Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research has opened a position for a PhD candidate (4 years) within the Blue Energy project to apply novel imaging technologies for the monitoring of zooplankton to minimize environmental impacts on the Wadden Sea.

The PhD position will be based within the NORCE Climate and Environment division. The division has approximately 200 researchers. Half of its members are working on environmental research and biotechnology, and the other half is dedicated to climate studies, conducting both basic and applied research on the past, present and future climate system. In particular the climate part of the division is also a partner in the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research (BCCR).

The 2024 Ocean Decade Conference (OceanDecade24) will be held in Barcelona, Spain on 10-12 April 2024.
